In 1977, science fiction was not a popular genre for films. But Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox needed to find a way to get people into theaters to see Star Wars (and, later, The Empire Strikes Back). Craig Miller, who spent three years at Lucasfilm as a publicist and producer working on those two films, shows slides and talks about how they got fans (and the rest of the world) to come see them.
