Nerding Out to Your Own Game Expansion
From fan fiction to fan films, hardcore fans have long found ways to interact with the media they love by creating their own interpretations. Movie trailer editor Daniel Lee and film music composer Linus Lau will share their experiences creating custom expansions for the classic tabletop games Fireball Island and Bang! They'll discuss their approaches to art and game mechanics, how they obtained permission from the copyright holders, and which services they used to fabricate their custom game components. It doesn't get much geekier than this!
